Volunteer
Responding swiftly and courageously to every call
Being a volunteer firefighter is about more than just fighting fires—it’s about being the person someone looks for on their worst day. At Reese VFD, we provide the expert training you need to save lives, whether you have prior experience or are starting from scratch. Your community is calling. Will you answer?
Joining this department was the best decision I ever made. I found more than just a way to give back; I found a second family and a level of pride I didn't know was possible. There is no feeling like knowing you've truly helped a neighbor in need.
I used to wonder if I had what it takes to be a firefighter. From day one, the team at Reese VFD showed me that with the right training and a supportive team, anyone can be a hero. Protecting my community is an honor, and the skills I've learned here have given me a confidence that carries into every part of my life.
How We Work
Every second counts in our life-saving mission
Efficiency is the result of discipline. From the moment the pager tones sound to the final “all clear” on the scene, the Reese Volunteer Fire Department operates with a coordinated, high-speed response plan designed to maximize safety and minimize loss.
- Rescue Services
Our seamless integration with local dispatch ensures that the moment a call comes in, our volunteers are notified instantly. We prioritize a fast "wheels-up" time to get personnel moving immediately.
- Make Appointment
We maintain our fleet and gear to the highest standards. Routine inspections and maintenance mean that when the emergency happens, our tools are 100% ready to perform under pressure.
- Team Preparation
Constant training is our baseline. Through weekly drills and specialized certifications, our team stays sharp on the latest firefighting and medical techniques to handle any scenario we encounter.
- To the location
Upon arrival, we establish a clear command structure. By assessing risks quickly and deploying resources strategically, we ensure a safe, effective, and decisive resolution to the incident.
